Now that I am spending almost all my practice time on the tuba, I pull out my euphonium about once a week. When I do, the valves are stuck. Extra pressure, sometimes a lot, breaks them free. After that, it plays just fine. It's a YEP-321, only about four years old. Oiling it every time when I put it away doesn't seems to help. I'm using Clark's Viper oil, which I've heard is a synthetic. Would using a natural oil help the situation? Any advice you experts can give to this recreational hacker would be greatly appreciated.
