I've played a St. Petersburg before. It belonged to someone else. I was not greatly impressed with it. The valves on it were sticking pretty bad, although he said they just needed to be oiled or whatever. I thought the sound coming out tended to splat, and he sat next to me and his sound was always breaking up. I haven't seen the "big" sound that this horn is supposed to produce.
