A lot of listeners in general, including myself, have a difficult time gleaning musical quality from ANYTHING written for tuba. And you know what, that's allright with me. I'm pretty secure with my role as the "offensive lineman" of the musical world. I, personally, get tired of the faction that screams "I am tuba player, hear me roar!" Our instrument isn't a soloistic or as singing as the cello. Get over it already!
