The York "pieces" that I have laying around (3 different), because of the particular York bells and bodies that I have chosen to put together for future "kits", aren't even long enough - to begin with - to make into BBb instruments. All three of them, if soldered up NOW would play somewhere around BB natural.

The Willson is sort of a 4/4-6/4 instrument. The branches aren't much bigger than an HB 4/4, but the bell end gets quite big. New Willsons are just about ALWAYS pre-sold, and I have to wait my turn, as a dealer, to get one for a customer.

There is NOTHING at ALL wrong with your Miraphone. Those are just about the most in-tune tubas that there are. Eventually, a lot of people will wise up and it will be "cool" to be a Miraphone guy again.
