You bring up an interesting point I've always wondered about. With my theory book in front of me the fundamental for a CC tuba is CC 5 ledger lines below, the fundamental for a BBb tuba is actually BBBb right below the before mentioned CC. So why do they call it a BBb tuba? In pitch notation BBb is the regular 2 ledger line below Bb?
