Joe, I recently picked up a 36K from a school auction on a trip to Reno. It was UNTOUCHED by human hands, still had the wrapping on it from shipping. I think that the school band director turned his nose up at a Fiberglass model. I got it home and played it on a Dixie job. The horn is stupendous, almost as good as my Vintage 14K, and alot easier on my back. Thanks for upholding my belief that, in the right hands, an Elkhart sousaphone is as good as any upright in the world. And I got this horn with case for $700.00. Will I ever part with it. NEVER!!!!!! BTW, the e-mail you sent me was hysterical, and telling now that Elian is going home. That would have sent me FLYING back to Cuba.
