I am a clinician for UMI and have used one of the 56J prototypes now for almost a year. I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and my playing requirements are fairly wide and varied, 4 different orchestras, Texas Wind Symphony, Dallas Jazz Orchestra, quintets, occasionally a recording session. While no one horn is prefect for all situations, this horn is the best all around instrument that I've found (and believe me I've owned a bunch of 'em) for my purposes in 22+ years of freelance playing in a pretty busy market. Tone, intonation, response, and ease of playing are the most prominent qualities, oh and the price, they're very afforable! Try it, you'll like it!
