they are no quieter than a wick or a wallace collection. None have brill tuning. Wick is easier to play but a little louder than the wallace. Wallace lives in the bell of an EEb so takes up less roon on this small Isle of ours! But I don't think that Yamaha put as much into R&D as the trumpet or trombone, they are really quiet.
