how about a band director that puts himself and they recognition HE recieves before that of his students. High school band is a learning experience and isn't always about winning trophies and making the director look good....you are saying the complete opposite of what i was advocating.
Why must everyone take everything so personally? I speak of one or two local band directors and everyone assumes i'm slamming them or their teachers (cough). You know me by now. If I meant you (that is not directed towards anyone specific, just a lack of a better term) than I would say you.
of course if someone believes that band is just about how good the director can make himself look, please share with myself and everyone else. I'm sure there are a lot of different theories out there.
