Whoopee John, stage name for John Wilfart, is one of the most recorded polka bands in history. He gets the sobriquet because of the "Whoops" ringing out in his recordings and because it was quite daunting for an anouncer to say: "Whoopee John Wilfart and his band will play for you." You might finid his music still available by searching under Whoopee John.
