AT the IHS in Kzoo, the Boston Brass played a concert. I had a question about the tuba player, whose name I can't remember....tall, gangly fellow who played a LOT of notes in the concert. It seemed all the pieces they played had a very active bass line.
Ok...and I don't mean any insult to the player, who was fantastic: he moved his head side to side, tipping right to left, on about every note. When he stood up after a piece, I expected to see raw skin around his mouth, from swivelling on the mpc all the time.
How can he play like that??
BTW, the Boston Brass were very, very good.
