Wonderful story, even if I of course never had a chance to known any of the involved persons.

What makes me especially curious and interested were the respective main instruments of the Lagasses’: tuba and harp.

I am very interested in the inner structures and mechanics of the composition and instrumentation trades. I never thought of it myself, but was inspired by this posting:

The tuba/harp combination has enormous potentials in a duo format. There is quite an overlap in range, but aside from that almost any other key features of these instruments must be considered contrasting.

Debussy and my own countryman, Carl Nielsen, both combined flute and harp in a way I like very much.

Are there any compositions for tuba and harp out there?

Had the Lagasses anything written for them?

Klaus
