I am considering a very large Cerveny that's in the used inventory at Taylor's and am looking for some thoughts on it.
I think it may be a 601, obviously a 5/4.
I have a pic up on a page and am interested in comments. As those of you who've read my previous posts may remember, I've been out of playing a long time, and most of my previous experience was on a Conn 25J, which is a large horn.
However, I have a 13 year old son who plays alto and bari sax, and he may transition to tuba this fall on a school horn, which is some kind of convertible Yamaha 4/4 size.
I'm wondering if this might be a horn that would be useful for him to practice on at home as well as for me to get back into playing again, which I really want to do. I'm considering other options, but since I have not played in a lonnnggg time, I'm largely dependent on the thoughts of others.
If you like, please take a look at the horn on the link and give me your thoughts.
Thanks!
