Policy changed again. Concert band slots are now going to Ceremonial Band folk based on seniority. If the most senior person doesn't want to move over, then the next in line is offered and so forth. Don Palmire is getting the concert band opening when the winner of the audition gets back from basic training and starts doing job with the Ceremonial Band.
If the current policy sticks, then there might be a concert band spot for me in 20-25 years or so.
