Honestly, I am far more comfortable playing the the slow movement on the F. It is easier and it takes ALOT of the guesswork out of it. I find that I like the sound also, it is a little "denser" if that makes any sense. As for the low F, I find I can sustain it at PP with all the valves down(retuning the 5th) without breathing. It is very "veiled" and I kinda dig the color. I may do the whole thing on F if I really feel good about it, but I really want to be able to put the gas to it if the situation warrants it, so i will use my big horn for it.
