I had a chance to toot on the prototype when Pat Sheridan brought it with him on his tour to Japan. Trust me this is a good tuba and is going to sell like "hot cakes" at the price that Mike Russoo has stated. Between this horn, the new Conn and the huge price drop on 2145's, the 4/4 CC market is getting much much better. My take on the Besson was it seemed a bit brighter that the Nirshl. Intonation was really nice on this one and had great response. The response in the 4th valve impressed me the most. The D's and G's just slot great and pop right out. I am pretty sure I will me picking one up when they arrive.
