I've played on a few of these, and found them to have a surprisingly big sound for so small an instrument. Kind of like a Yamaha 621, but with that "German" sound that Joe S. wants a definition for. German low register, too. Needs a little finessing. I've also sat in an opera orchestra next to one of these being played by Scott Mendoker, and he sounds great on it.
