One can play too much Messiah. I've not yet heard an electronic harpsichord that included the mechanical rattles of the real thing. Bent pins are far lees obvious that cut wires. If one is to cut cables its important that they not be power cords while plugged in. The notches live power wires leave in the wire cutters or knife are incriminating evidence.

Reminds me of a performance where the conductor kept grumbling about the basses being two heavy when we weren't playing. The rest of the bass section just about packed up and went home for not playing enough. That same performance the vocal bass solo singing with wide vibrato missed every note in his run by a half step. Made a weird sounding run... The "embellishment" wasn't an improvement.
