I have observed that over the past few years the community band in which I play has been getting more requests to play in town sponsored concerts. These are usually Friday or Saturday night "Concerts in the Park" in band shells or gazebos. The 4th of July has always been busy, but there seem to be a lot more requests these days. It seems like we have a crazy schedule this year. Has anyone else seen a resurgence in interest in local band concerts? Just wondering if this is a widespread phenomenon.
