I went to brass band practice last night to prepare for this weekends performances with the advocate brass band for the brass band festival. Normally there some ringers that show up and last night I set between Marty Erickson and John Cradler (tubaist for the Marine band quintet). The order of how we were seated had no meaning of course, othere than Marty having fun saying,"I'm in last chair." I had never met him before and he is a super person and lots of fun. John Cradler is very nice person and a great player. Marty played euphonium parts on a wilson Eb he helped design and his ME1 mouthpiece and John played a besson 983 Eb and a PT66 mouthpiece. It was very educational and I had a very very very good time. I will be playing 3 concerts with them, one at 11:00am this morning and one at 6:00 Sat. and then again on Sun. at 6:00. Come see us at the festival.
