Instruments in F defenitely donīt have the problems in lower meudium range a rotary F has, as those problems purely result from measurements actually too big to work out properly. The varieties of cimbassi Iīve seen so far are the one in F (which I prefer), and one in CC (Rudy makes them for instance) that sounds a lot fatter oposed to the rather contrabass trombone sound of the F-Cimbasso.
