No has the mechanical controls in place to correctly play a musical instrument. Natural selection has not made us that way. We learn to make sounds on our given instrument. Some people make better sounds that others. Sometimes we learn to do something incorrectly so that the sound that comes out of the bell is not what we want it to be. I want to be able to efficiently and effectively make those sounds better. I do not think about everything when playing. I do try to fix the problems I have. The final product is a diagnostic. If it doesn't sound right, it isn't. If my car is making a funny noise, I want the mechanic to know what is wrong and how to fix it. If my tuba playing is producing a funny noise, I want my teacher to know what is wrong and how to fix it.
