two words: burnt out. I happen to be one of those extremely fortunate people who won a lot of competitions this year and I almost went crazy (literally) trying to stay on top of all the performing I had to prepare. Physically, the playing doesn't suffer, but since I was in too deep, my emotional and psychological state of mind almost went off a cliff (which did nothing to help the creative and artistic process). It's taken almost a month for me to get to the point where I feel recovered as far as my enthusiasm is concerned.
