One of the ways to do it is to take Benedryl... yes, you will get tired, but it actually causes the diaphragm to relax... as all hiccups are is diaphragm spasms. It effectively works, but it hasn't been really used in a situation in which you're playing... I just know it stops them other than having to do the all famous tests to get them stopped (IE holding your breath... drinking lots of water... scaring the bejesus out of you...)
