Well, I'm not so sure you can...I know I can play pretty damn loud, much louder than many of the high school tuba players I've heard from around my area, and the one thing I know, is that if you don't have blastability, you just don't have it. If you are asking us players with the amazing propensity to play unbelivably loud how to do it, than you probably aren't blessed with natural blastability, and you probably have no chance of ever having it. If you think you have blastability but just haven't tapped it yet, and if you are looking to stick to tubas, and not cannon, I'd recommend the Conn 20K. That's a pretty blastable tuba, and you'll probably have pretty powerful results.
