As a side note to the CG method, all of us in the sousaphone section in
college would fight over the horns that had sent out to be overhauled
in the summer. Not because they looked pretty, but after the second or third
trip to the "buffer's" they had the most incredible loud "edge/tone" to
them.( kind of like a tunable chainsaw)
