Saturday was a fine tribute to Harvey Phillips, Bill Bell and the 30th anneversery of the First International Tuba Symposium. It started with a recital, the first half started with Don Butterfield playing Mr Bell's arrangement of the Air & Bouree. The Wilder Family Suite, Song for Carole were the highlight of the first half followed by Pat Sheridan and Sam Pilafian. After the presentation of the Plaques, Symphonia played the second half end with Harvey Phillips conducting Come Sweet Death, the same arrangement played 30 years ago.

Following dinner at the Indiana Memorial Union, there were several tributes to Harvey Phillips, the most notable from David Baker and Janos Starker. Winston Morris was the moderator.

Thanks must go out to all those behind this, Kathy Brantigan, Scott Watson, Dan Perantoni and everyone else I have forgotten.
