The 2J's are easily identifiable by a smaller bell flare, smaller diameter valves, different wrapping of tubing, nickel plating inside the bell flare, and nickel plated bell and branch ferrules. With their overly-wide bell flare, the 3J's look very much at first glance like a 5J BBb. Personally, I prefer the 2J with the smaller bell flare. I haven't noticed that much difference in the quickness and feel of the different sizes of valve sets.
