Serenade Records on M street used to be one of the best record stores in the country, and I bought lots of stuff from them even when I lived in Texas. A visit to their big and diverse shop was a required stop on any business trip to DC. But I haven't been in a long time and they seem now to be gone, swallowed up by the big chains.
Now, I use Tower or Amazon, but I miss being able to browse a really good classical selection.
