I have a MIDIman Uno that retails for $45. It was super easy to use; I stuck it in the back of my computer, and Windows (XP Home Edition) instantly recognized it. I didn't have to install the silly software it came with or anything.
I got it at www.midiwarehouse.com, a NJ based company. I wouldn't recommend them b/c it took like three months for the thing to arrive in the mail. When I finally got it I was no longer expecting it (read: I forgot) was when it showed up it was like Christmas. ;)
