I am looking for opportunities to gain experience in the teaching field as I hope to become a HS instrumental teacher. I will be attending California State University, Northridge as a music education major in the fall as I have already completed three years at Pasadena City College as a music major. My main instrument is the tuba, but I am experienced in almost all brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. I have a talent of being able to pick up a new instrument and teach myself how to play it. I work well with others, and I have a passion for what I do. I currently help out at Crescenta Valley HS, and I also give tuba lessons. I would just like more exposure out there as my forte is marching band (drum major for 4 years, president for 3 years, section leader for 3 years) and a wind ensemble setting. If any band director could use assistance, I would be more than happy to help out at your school. Any advice or comments are appreciated.
