...use my 822 as a small solo horn, but mouthpieces that I've tried that yielded that sort of sound have been the Dillom S3, JK 5C, Rudi Meinl 9 (with the 8.0 throat), Schilke 69C4, Yamaha Bobo Solo , Yamaha 67B4 (I'd have the throat enlarged slightly...ask js)and even a Helleberg 7B. For a more all-around (quintet, small orchestra stuff)mouthpiece, I like the Dillon S1 or G1.
