FWIW, a November 7, 1955 concert would have meant that Bell was beaten in time by high schooler Bobo as to the second movement, which Roger performed at Interlochen in the summer of 1955. Probably doesn't merit an asterisk after "American Premier" (the "concerto" is, afterall, three movements), but it adds to the case for Bobo's young mastery, particularly when "journeyman" was probably as nice a term as one could use for the others at Interlochen in that era.
