The following is quoted from an article entlted "100 Years of Sousaphones" by Mike Knaack that appeared in the Spring 1999 edition of the TUBA Journal:
"UMI today has a bell from one of its regular King tubas that can be fitted on its King 2350 sousaphone to make it a 'raincatcher' sousaphone. With that attachment, the present day manufacturer of Conn instruments (UMI) cab also claim to be the only one in the world capable of providing a 'raincatcher' sousaphone."
