Generally, I think a little bit of all the things you mentioned, used as part of my warmup, would be necessary for me to achieve and maintain optimum chops. What I consider "Essentials" for my daily practice: Moving he-yuge amounts of warm, slow, relaxed air; Making sure my fingers aren't lazy; and using a tape recorder every day.
Specific etudes I use in my daily practice include Rochut, Snedecor and Kopprasch (with and without the metronome).
