It will have an absolutely minimal affect on the sound, IF AT ALL.
If you are looking to make a slight change in your tonal color, a mouthpiece change will have a much more dramatic difference in the timbre than lacquer removal. Just play the horn and let nature take its course - after a few decades of heavy use the lacquer will be worn if not completely gone.
