O.K. Time to chime in. I first joined tuba as a freshman music ed. major at the University of Florida (back in '85). Back then the journal wasn't much. In recent years it has become more scholarly anf informative. In fact, the latest issue shows great changes. A new editorial staff has started transforming the journal to a much higher level. The T.U.B.A. Press a wonderful resource for music. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not completely satisfied with the organization, but it is the best that we have and there are a lot of folks working to make it better. Well that is enough for now - have to teach some young tuba players (who are members of tuba because I require it!). Take care, Daryl
