A "A" above high C--you mean an A one ledger line above the treble staff? Why? What piece on earth is there that requires you to play a double high A on a contrabass tuba? I'd advise leaving that one to the trumpets and concentrate on the quality of my lower range. The quality of that aforementioned A couldn't be that great anyway.
