My school just bought a new Meinl-Weston F....the 45S I believe. I think it can run the PT's for their money any day. I played some new PT's, the 10 and the 15 recently at the SERTEC and at the Army Conference. I think the PT-10 is a good F, but the PT-15 is better. Why? Well, it has a better response throughout than the 10.....maybe because it has that larger, heavier Meinl bell and leadpipe?

I'm still impressed with the Meinl as a reasonably-priced rotary F. By far the best rotary F that I've played was the Rudy Meinl. If you can find one used, or if you can afford $6300, call Charlie up at Brasswind. They are SWEET!

And just to let you know...I play a Yamaha YFB-621 and I love it! Can't wait until I can pick up an 822!
