Hey guys.
I'm just back from the SERTEC held at UK where I got to try a lot of different horns. I tried the Getzen for I had heard great things. I must say I wasn't too terribly impressed. Maybe it wasn't a "good one" but I found it a bit limiting. It seems to be solely a quintet horn as I could not push it much and the low register was expecially dissappointing. I know a lot of guys play this horn so maybe this one was a bad apple (plus that damn bell is just too close for comfort, in my opinion!).
I played a MW 2145 that blew it away. It was so much more free-blowing and I think they are now down to under 5K. I own a 2155 so naturally I'm biased but I can't say enough about these horns.
