I find your posts very interesting, particularly this one. I believe you have stated previously that your Cerveny 6/4 is model 601. I am the former owner of a Cerveny CC 601-5MR and can attest that it is indeed a very large tuba. But, I don't remember any particular abnormal resonance problems with it. Just a huge, rich, plump tone with a marvelous dynamic range. Possibly I dampened some of the resonance by holding the bottom bow in my lap and by placing my hand on the bell throat when operating the left- side 5th valve lever.
