What you said is partially right, but can be fixed greatly or eliminated by using 'the right' mouthpiece. The C-3 and C-4 center well on a Mirafone and give a clear colorful tone, but a Mirafone Rose Orchestra (not to be confused with a TE Rose) or similarly large mouthpiece (PT88, maybe?) will reduce notes breaking up under loud volume. Also, you have to learn to work WITH the Mirafone, not against it (easier said than done sometimes).
