Ahh Silvestre Revuleltas...... what a composer! What colors! I would urge you to check into ANY recordings of his music. Sensemaya is his best known work- Bernstein recorded it in the early sixties. But, check out other recordings, such as "Hommage a' Garcia Lorca" which has an even meatier tuba part than Sensemaya! It's true..... There's a great recording on Dorian (Mata conducting) with " Planos" which has some awesome chord structure. Revueltas himself was an interesting character, he drank himself to death in his forties. Listen to his music..... it speaks volumes...... IMHO!
