I finally bought a Hirsbrunner myself but they are fine instruments too, just not my voice. Frankly I didnt pay much attention on them , what I remember was, the Meinl Weston 2155 has a very dark sound but a little too heavy and the main tuning slide was disturbing, it is too long that I couldnt hold it well..
The 2 Rudys I tried were VERY different ,,that's why I say you have to try it to tell,they are less consistent I may say, than the Meinls, but generally I think Rudy has a better sound to my ear,,
The Meinls were too heavy, maybe check out the new 2000 series,
