Another solution is to center-drill the back caps, thread the holes, and imitate the Miraphone thing with pointed support screws touching the center of the back spindle of each rotor.

My only real point is that most of the time when I hear noise on rotary tubas (unless ANCIENT bronze-to-steel S-arms are involved, or Cervany/R.M./B&S steel-to-steel ball and socket style), the MAIN noise is the rotors themselves.
