I used to work for a university, and was expected to organize a tuba quartet, and a tuba ensemble. However, the funds that were supplied to me for these ventures was $0.
Through interlibrary loan, I borrowed some superb music, and xeroxed it all off on the band department's (seemingly 100% available) machine. Due to incredible talent, I was able to put together a record-worthy quartet that year and a decent large ensemble, too.
After a year at that job, I decided it best to move on. My "boss" instructed me to be sure and leave the tuba music folders in a good place. I threw them in a dumpster.
