I have an older (1995) Daryl Smith Model, I love it. I recently played their improved version at UK's Tuba Conference last summer. Improvements to the newer model includes rounding out some of the tighter bends (especially in the valve tubing). I think there were also some changes to the leadpipe and valves themselves. I didn't notice an incredible amount of difference, but tuning was improved over my personal horn. I only played one of the newer horns, and Kalison has not been known for incredible consistancy. Take it for what it's worth.
