Should sax players solo only on alto, or could they also use soparano, tenor, or bari? How about trumpet players? Should we limit them to conventional Bb trumpet only, and never allow the occasional flugel or piccolo trumpet? Of couse not, so why is the tuba any different? I really wish we'd stop putting these artificial limits on ourselves.
