I will second Charlies opinion. This was my first CC tuba and a good one at that. I got rid of it to buy a larger CC at the time. I did have the fifth valve linkage changed to the thumb operated set up. It was done very well by a Japanese guy. I used mine in BQ and concert band with no problmes or complaints.
