The 2165 looks a lot like the York tubas, but it's not. Some of the slides are oriented differently, the valves are a different size, there's a heavy ring the bell, etc. Warren Deck created this horn. Maybe he had some of the York dimensions in mind, but he didn't copy the York measurements specifically. The Hirsbrunner HB-50 and the Nirchl Yorks and the old Holton 6/4s are all copies.
